Hi Everyone,

My name is Mario Cornejo, the Director of Reservations & Social Media for Sanctuary Guest Suites Bed & Breakfast. Born to a traveling missionary family, I had the great fortune to grow up in South East Asia, Europe, Latin America. I now spend my time traveling between New York and Florida co-managing SanctuaryNY. Take a look at my personal blog: The East Villagers.

Our Mission:

Sanctuary Guest Suites - Bed & Breakfast was conceived via the shared medium of a small group of artists, entrepreneurs and world travelers. Our desire is to give back something special and enriching to the local and global community.

Operating under the premise that whether you are flying from half-way around the world or driving just a few hours to New York City, each visit has the potential to bring new inspiration and valuable lessons into our lives. Sanctuary Guest Suites - Bed & Breakfast wants to facilitate this experience by offering an affordable, peaceful and stylish accommodation for the traveler in need of a calm, retreat-like experience.

We chose the East Village of Lower Manhattan because of its creative vibrancy and diversity along with its user–friendly travel connections to any part of the city. It is also the headquarters for Interfaith Community Services. Our desire is to facilitate a warm and friendly experience in an uplifting, comfortable New York City living space which feels like a home away from home.

A portion of our revenue helps fund our Food for Life out-reach project of feeding the hungry and homeless in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Sanctuary Guest Suites helps us carry out this charity work and at the same time offer you a peaceful and beautiful place to stay and enjoy your visit to NYC.
